FAYIM invites you to an intimate concert evening at M.Bassy, where he will perform songs from his debut EP “Fokus” live for the first time in his hometown of Hamburg. In an acoustic set-up, he will present previously released music, share unreleased songs, and afterwards talk with Naomi Kelechi Odhiambo about his artistic journey and his musical future.
FAYIM
FAYIM is a Berlin-based singer-songwriter, composer, and performer who creates a perfect balance between depth and lightness with his lyrics, distinctive voice, and captivating presence. His debut EP, “Fokus”, was released in the July 2025, blending sounds from pop, R&B, soul, gospel, and jazz with German-language lyrics that place the Black, queer artist at the center of his own story. A self-taught artist, FAYIM has found a language in music that has already made him a recognized and sought-after singer in his scene. He is part of a new generation of artists successfully merging pop culture and storytelling.

Naomi Kelechi Odhiambo
Naomi Kelechi Odhiambo is a director, writer, actress, and curator based in Hamburg. She works across theatre, film, and interdisciplinary contexts, developing both her own artistic projects and collaborative processes. With her theatre piece Things We Do Not Say (Dinge, die wir nicht sagen, Kampnagel, 2023), she established a distinctive aesthetic voice that combines emotional depth, ensemble-based work, and hybrid forms. As a writer and actress for the ARD series Schwarze Früchte, she won the German Television Series Award at the TeleVisionale in 2025. As a curator, she works in Hamburg and internationally at the intersection of urban culture, Afro-diasporic perspectives, and contemporary art.
